Born in Rome June 21 1957 and grew up in the poor but beautiful suburb of
Cinecitta which was also home to Italy's largest and most prolific Cinema Studio.
Due to chronic shyness, I was unable to speak until the age of 7 but enjoyed a very content childhood
sneaking into the studios by climbing the spiked fences and watching the making of films.
My father having done work in the studios as an extra for such films as Cleopatra was able to get
me my first professional gig at the age of 8 in voice over.
The following year ( 1966 ) my family migrated to Australia where I spent the next two years learning to speak again. With only the odd school play and faced with a lack of opportunities I lost interest in acting
and opted for the security of regular income.
Restlessness and not wanting my younger brother to have all the fun I was coaxed back into acting and have continued to develop a skill which now offers me full-time employment. I have and continue to be inspired by the acting abilities of my brother and sister both exceptional actors.
Like most Perth Actors, I was able to cement myself with the aid of the ever-popular P.A.C. workshops and affiliated tutors. My first commercial gig was a Channel 7 produced Television Promotion for W.A. Shoe Warehouse in 1995 and have since gone on to shoot over 20 Television and Radio commercials, a three series television program for Channel Nine called Streetsmartz, a feature film shot in Perth along with a major stage production at the Regal Theatre and numerous short films. I love acting and the challenges it brings, mostly I love the life long friendships I have built in an industry usually known for its competitiveness. When not acting I spend my time as a professional role player with other talented actors. I teach acting on a regular basis and have just returned from auditioning in L.A. I remain committed to continue training with my long-term goal being an appearance at the Montreal Comedy Festival. Check on my progress by following the news section on this site.
