Haydn Howard

I have just completed a very difficult year in Derby where I had the pleasure of working with many talented indigenous people, Serco Security Guards, Immigration Department and the beautiful people of Derby. I have made lifelong friendships and will return soon to thank the wonderful people who have touched my life. I make note of  one individual, Haydn Howard, this talented and much loved young man was always a pleasure to be around, I had the pleasure of working with him for an extended period of time in which I once made the mistake of thinking it would be fun to scare him one night, indeed it was fun but I later came to regret it as he continuously scared me at least three time a night after which he would do this unique little dance to which one could not help but laugh. Sadly and incomprehensibly Haydn took his life yesterday, in his short life Haydn would have experienced many friends who would also succumb to suicide. This epidemic which is crippling the  communty must be addressed.  Something is not right, something needs to be done. I will miss you Haydn,  R.I.P.

Pocket Theatre

Another season comes to an end at Pocket Theatre, this marks my 5th collaboration with Pocket and my second as Director. No Insalate has been a pleasure to bring to life from the first read through to yesterday's performance which was to my opinion close to perfection. Most of the satisfaction as always is watching the words come to life, in this case I have enjoyed working with a cast of exceptional actors and friends, the cast of Floss Holt, Jen Walsh, Helen Gatt and Maurie-L Ryan are very talented and professional actors I am proud to call friends, I have and continue to witness each of them strut their talent with incredible ease at Rpod which is a family of actors we belong to that hire out actors to the Police Academy and the Prison Department. Congratulations to the founders of Pocket Theatre for another great show. Pocket is a must see for any up and coming writers and/or performers. I look forward to the next venture as, the Gods willing, a writer.

Claire Heffernan

Congratulations to Claire on  winning a role in the musical " Rent :" I have had the pleasure of having Claire as a student last year and when she contacted me to help her prepare for an audition I was thrilled. Claire worked hard for this role, we  did four session along with an improvised song in class and the universe did the rest. Look forward to opening night.

"No Insalata"

Only two more show to go and the cast are on fire, second week audience number are much better, the following reviews as published in Theatre Australia No Insalata’          It is breakfast time and Guido (Luciano Vecchio) tells the audience of his morning routine before getting out of bed!! His wife Giulietta (Floss Holt) comes down to the kitchen to find her husband distraught, his magnificent tomato plants have been destroyed in the night. Could it be that mad woman, Mrs Smith (Marie-Louise Ryan) that lives next door? How can an Italian family survive without their own freshly grown tomatoes? Their old relative, Assunta (Jen Walsh) arrives in her widow’s weeds and she too needs consoling, in her own way – repeatedly. Will Sarah (Helen Gatt) the Dept. of Agriculture specialist be able to help? Written by Gordon MacNish and Josephine Clarke, the play was filled with clever humour. Superbly directed by Luciano Vecchio, all of the hilarious ethnic characteristics came to the front. The cast were magnificent.

The sets and lighting were simple but sufficient. Three very good plays in a newly renovated, warm and comfortable venue. Congratulations to all.

No Insalata

Great show last night, the audience was small but appreciative,  all the cast did well with Floss Holt and Jen Walsh stealing the show. Many thanks to Chloe Flochart for taking care of business.  The wonderful Marie-l who makes her entrance alone worth the ticket price and the saviour of the night Helen Gatt. Another member to join the gang as stage hand  Karen Neville, this beautiful lady, an actress herself also makes a cameo appearance as the ambulance driver along with Adam Andrew. Tickets still available at the door. Come along and support local Theatre.

"No Insalata"

It is with great pleasure I announce the cast for our one act play is now complete with the new addition of Stephen Koczian and Andrew Adams who will take on the roles of the Ambulance drivers. Mayhem will shortly begin.

Acting Classes

The response to the One Year Course has been overwhelming to say the least, The second of five classes kicked off this Wednesday with the remaining three to commence next week, all classes are now fully booked and I hope to run some of them in Mosman Park. I would like to acknowledge the help received from Laura Barker in accrediting the course, Chloe Flockhart for her invaluable assistance and of course the support and trust of the 60 students who have placed their trust in me.

"No Insalata"

One week to opening night and we are well and  truly ready to hit the stage. It has been a pleasure working with the talented cast of Floss Holt, Jen Walsh, Helen Gatt and Marie-L. By default but equally by pleasure we took on an Assistant Director, this role went to Chloe Flockhart who's contribution has proven to be precious, as a result we are ready to perform this wonderful little play written by writers Gordon McNish and Josephine Clarke.   Pocket Theatre continues to grow in popularity and has secured the Mosman Park Theatre in Solomon st Mosman Park. Opening night is July 8th . Come and support local Theatre and have a laugh along the way.

Acting Classes

As of June 30th I will be running 5 nightly classes Monday to Friday, all classes are now full with three spots remaining in some, anyone interested in joining please contact me through this site.  The course will run with industry professionals and will be a comprehensive study for actors of any level of experience. Most classes will be run from the Blue Room with some at the Kings Hotel in the city

Role Players on Demand

This company formally known as Aragon continues to form my strongest link to the acting industry. Everyday I get to rub shoulders with talented actors who never fail to deliver the element of surprise in improvisational role playing. As my agent Maxine from ActrsNow would say, Kudos to Ali Dyson for keeping this wonderful family together. We continue to grow in strength and as any organization we  constantly refine what we do.

Acting Classes

Whilst not by intent, I do however find myself teaching full-time, I have had incredible response to my one year course and I look forward to the challenges.  I have been fortunate to secure other experienced individuals who will assist me in the running of the course and am currently in negotiations with other professionals such as Amy Fidler. Amy is a personal friend and colleague, her company Whitelight Creative has my personal endorsement, I have worked with Amy who first and foremost is an  experienced actor with credits reflecting a career in both stage and film. Amy is also a very experienced Marketing Professional which makes her Company a well rounded service for any actor. This week will mark the end of the Wednesday class which ran for six weeks, I continue to be astounded by the wealth of talent in this state,  May 26th marks the beginning of the next class with a few spots still available.

Scene 12

No other way to spend mothers day than to teach motivated students who are L.A. bound, Cathy Prastides and Francesca Urli, both will make an impact on the acting scene here and abroad.

"Trigger"

Trigger premiered last night at the Cygnet Theatre. Congratulations to all who collaborated on this project, without exception all cast put in strong performances, congratulation to Francesca Urli on her debut. The film was very well received by the audience and will be screening at the Cannes Film festival. Great story, solid acting, beautiful photography and effective marketing. Well done to all involved.

Marie-Louise Ryan

Marie L as we call her at Role Players on Demand is the latest to join the cast of No Insalata. Marie L has just completed the inaugural Diploma of Acting offered at F.T.I. in Fremantle. Marie L will take on the role of Mrs Smith in what will be her first professional gig after  nine months of studying for her diploma. No Insalata opens 8th July, details to follow.

Pocket Theatre

"No Insalata" is progressing well with the latest casting of Helen Gatt to play the role of Sarah. Helen has been a friend  and colleague for just over 5 years, this talented young lady has been honing her acting skills whlist tormenting the cadets at both the Police Academy and the Prisons Department. In that time Helen has developed sound improvisaational skills along with impeccable timing. No Insalata commences July 8th details to follow.

Floss Holt

With auditions looming for our play " No Insalata " the hunt continues for two actors to fill the remaining roles, I can however, announce the lead role has gone to  Floss Holt. I have had the pleasure of knowing Flossy on a professional and personal level and have found her to shine in both, I remember doing acting classes with Flossy, I'm not sure how much we learned but I do recall having loads of fun. Check out  http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=z4jeXEEieEY  No Insalata Opens 8th July at Pocket Theatre. Details to follow.

No Insalata

The hunt is on for talented actors to bring this wonderful script written by Gordon Mac Nish and Josephine Clarke to life. This one act play to be performed at Pockect Theatre will mark my second gig as actor-director. Performance dates July 8-10 & 15-17.  No Insalata follows a comical day in the life of Guido and his wife Giulietta. Sadly for me I can very much relate to their banter and antics. Looking forward to the fun.

Scene Twelve

Teaching continues to dominate my time, I am veryhappy to assist in the ambitious project of Scene Twelve. I am very proud of my students, what a humbling experience to have the privilege of witnessing their amazing and personal journey as actors. To all those who performed last night, you have my admiration and unconditional respect. Now go do some damage.

" Inside "

First short film off the rank for 2010, Inside was a pleasure to work on and marks my first collaboration with Director Alex McArthur. I have known Alex for some time now and have had the unforgettable experience of performing with him  as gay lovers at the Police Academy , suffice it to say Alex has no boundaries and is always up for any challenge which is why I jumped at the chance to work with him. Great cast and crew with some great photography. Great way to start the year.

2009/2010

Very happy to be slowing down after another busy year. Stand-up will take up my time from now to the end of the year along with spells of Father xmas and somewhere in between a trip to Melbourne. Next year already promises to be a busy year with trips to Sydney. Once back in Perth I look forward to working with Ali Roberts as we team up once again, this time working on a short film with Kane George whom I worked with on the soon to be screened "Fractured" Next Project lined up is a 30 minute short Film with Marcus Preece which will mark my second collaboration with this very talented director. Good start to the year is always good and I look forward to spending more time developing projects on of which is the very personal " The Cow that Cried " with my good friend Mahesh. A great slice of energy and time will also be invested in acting classes I will run with Aragon. Our first block of lesson went very well and produced some very good talent which Aragon was quick to sign on. All in all very pleased with 2009 and look forward to 2010

Marcus Preece

I'll count this as short number 7 although I hade a very small and single scene but the film had a good feel and the lead was exceptionally funny and surprise surprise they got Megzy to play the wife. Great to work with some of the crew of Every Little Thing. This short is headed for Tropfest. Kudos to all involved.

Short Films Galore

I think this make short film number 7 for the year and one I am looking forward to as it reunites me with Marcus Preece. The short film is a comedy and I look forward to see who they cast to play my wife. Further Details to follow.

Fractured

Yesterday we managed to shoot the last scene on the set of "Fractured" the short film directed by Kane George from Curtin Uni. I have enjoyed my time on this set and have committed my involvement in Kanes next project, a short film,  to be shot towards the end of the year. Congratulations to all the students envolved in Fractured, a great job done by all which I hope will be evident when screened at the Astor 29th of November.

Trespass

F.T.I In Freo will be the place to be on October 28th to commemorate Halloween. Tickets on sale now. Premiering will be two shorts from Wade Savage as well as Damien Gigliettas "Trespass" This promises to be a very entertaining evening with Horror being the theme of the night. Wade Savage has been producing work of a high standard and having just finished working with Damien on Trespass I am very much looking forward to the screening. Tickets on sale at F.T.I

Trigger

Finally I get to do a role using my native language, Italian. No better person to have opposite me than another Italian and talented actor, Vito De Francesco.  The shoot was well organized and fun to do even if the weather was challenging. It's always great to work with professional actors who never miss a beat. The lead is played by Jeremy Levi who like Vito, I  met for the first time on the set of Streetsmarts. This also marks my first collaboration with Director Dave Stephens.  The film is earmarked for the short film circuit.

Lotto Commercial

Whilst I may not be doing many commercials for a while due to over exposure  I am delighted to have benn told Lotto are rolling over their commercial for two years. Aside from being a good little earner for me I have very fond memories of the shoot we did in Dunsborough over a 4 day period with great crew and cast.  It will also be shown on the internet. I almost feel like I've won lotto!!

Trespass

A very demanding week-end was spent shooting what promises to be a very good short film. I never cease to be amazed at the hard work the crew put into film making.  This short was filmed in an isolated bush area with shooting sometime going into the early hours of the morning. Congratulations to Damien Giglietta and his crew on what promises to be a great film.

Confetti from Graceland

It was an absolute pleasure to produce this very funny play with the immensely talented pool of actors. A big thank you to all those who came to see the show, their support is vry much appreciated and ensured we made a profit which will allow the actors to be paid for their hard work. Watch this space for the sequel, Spaghetti from Graceland.

Confetti from Graceland

One week down, one to go and so far so good. This great little play has been well received with audiences, this coming week promises to have bigger crowds which will no doubt fuel the actors. Tickets still available for all sessions with Friday and Saturday almost full.

Acting Course

I am very pleased with the response to Aragon's Acting Course. I am also proud to be facilitating the eight week course. Very much looking forward to the challenge.

Phoenix Centre

Three one act plays on offer at the Phoenix centre. Went last Friday and enjoyed myself,  with the middle play probably the most entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one with Marcelle Webber playing, with incredible conviction and precision, and Indian Taxi driver with a love for music, a very powerful comedic moment when Marcelle's character goes surfing for channels on his radio and when he finds the song he likes rocks back and forth to the beat with his body. Great writing too in all the plays which I am led to believe was the work of one writer. Good entertainment

Confetti from Graceland

Our show opens this coming Wednesday at the Subiaco Arts Centre, tickets are selling well and the cast are doing great with rehearsals. An all professional cast really make the difference from rehearsals to show night which promises to be a riot. Tickets available from Bocs

Trigger

When I got the news I was cast in Two Fists One Heart, my hope was to be able to do a scene and speak in Italian, that didn't happen but finally I have been cast to play an Italian who only speaks his native language. Trigger This interesting short Film is headed for a number of festivals including Perth's Revelation, Melbourne, Sydney International, Cannes Festival and Berlin. Hope to start shooting next month.

"Trespass"

Last year I had a great time working on the set of " Every little Thing " Directed by Marcus Preece. This year I am looking forward to working with the same crew on "Trespass" this time directed by Damien Giglietta. I play the role of Ivan, a somewhat disturbed individual who does not take kindly to visitors. I am impressed with the script which offers all actors a challenging role. To be screened at the end of the year.

Fractured

The short film " Fractured " will mark my first collaboration with Director Kane George Jason. I very much like the script which offers a challenging role for me as the character " Bruce " who is driven to suicide by the ever greedy banks.

Acorn Theatre

The Acorn Theatre is officially listed in the Guinness Book of records as the smallest Theatre in the world. I was very fortunate to be able to visit this soon to be closing theatre last night and catch a performance of "Finger in the Dyke" A very powerful performance from all the cast and some great audience interaction, If like  you like food and entertained and like me find the combination of both provocative then this is the show for you. Hayley Black and Nina Deasley combined well to produce laughs. Loved Hayley as her character in desperation beat her head on the specials board as her business partner, Nina, was with exception comedic timing attempting to offer the special of the day ( A Flan, sorry Torte- with anchovies)  to a food critic.  Do keep an eye out for the producer, as SHE is very demanding. Heaps of fun and highly recommended.

Commercial

Glad to get another commercial under my belt for 2009 for the Law Mutual Society. This one teamed me up again with Ben Brown who scoredthe lead and Zalia.

Pocket Theatre

What a great way to end our season for 2009 at Pocket Theatre. Again standing room only and again a very responsive and appreciative audience. So ends my  Directorial debut, I have had and amazing ride with an equally amazing cast which consists of Marcelle Weber, Amy Harrison and Ben Brown who stepped in at the last moment to save the play, incredibly, Ben will have done more performances than rehearsals which is indicative of his talent. A special mention of our writer Gordon McNish who gave us all the beautifull words and allowed us to have fun but a special thank-you to the wonderfull and supportive audiences who came to see our show, on average well over 100 each night.

Good Idea

Great to see over 140 people come down and support Pocket Theatre where they saw three great shows and a good time had by all.  Again I wish to praise my cast of Ben Brown, Amy Harris and Marcelle Weber who continue to grow with every performance.

Good Idea

First week of our play is now out of the way and we look forward to the next week, the show has been received very well from the audience with very good feed back after each show. Credit must go to the wonderful cast in particular Ben Brown who came to our rescue one week prior to opening and grasped the script with amazing accuracy. The ever reliable Amy Harrison as always is a pleasure to work with and is solid in her role as the unfortunate bride to be, finally a special mention of Marcelle Weber who's energy alone is an inspiration, Marcelle is a very hard working and dedicated new comer who will no doubt make a name for himself, he  has exceptional comedic timing with an incredible positive attitude that makes him a pleasure to work with. Worth mentioning is the other shows on  offer have also been received very well with some outstanding performances making an evening at Pocket Theatre a very entertaining experience. One week left. Hope to see you there.

Aragon

Those who know me will be aware I have for a number of years now worked at Aragon Education. I find the hardest thing about working at Aragon is explaining to people what it is I do, harder still is why.  This week I found myself having to recast a role in the play " Good Idea ' in which I play the role of the Father as well as direct. With only one week to go to opening night I turned to Aragon for their pool of talented actors. Fortunately Ben Brown came to the rescue and took on the role of Jacko, the best man.  We rehearsed today and I was left breathless as Ben, after having received his script 5 days ago performed without missing a beat, his lines were all down and he captured the essence of the character. I am in total awe of this young man. Ben Brown is a regular at Aragon and is well know for having an exceptional memory, however, it is not unusual on any given day for any actor to receive 4 or 5 pages of script and be expected to perform. I work at Aragon because of the talented people that make up the core team, many of which I am proud to call my friends. I continue to be inspired and motivated from this wonderful family of actor and I credit them for having taken my career this far, as I prepare to return to L.A. I am well aware that whilst I am proud to have reached this far, a large and unavoidable component is being in the right place at the right time and  many of the actors at Aragon could and probably should be in my place. Ben Brown rocks!!!

It Happens in The Dark

Many thing baffle me of which the most intriguing one is how people can smoke. Have just finished working on a short film directed by Ramez Ghibrial in which my character smoked Cannabis, which was naturally replaced with herbal cigarettes which were so bad that left me baffled as to how people smoke real one. The short  is for a Masters and it was a pleasure working on this one. Look forward to seeing it after the editing.

Noel O'Neil

After appearing at the same venue with Mr Noel O'Neil at Pocket Theatre  I am very happy to undertake my first collaboration with Noel. I am looking forward to working with him when we stage our play in late July at the Subiaco Art Centre. Details to follow.

Good Idea

Our play " Good Idea " to be performed at Pocket Theatre in Fremantle is in full swing with rehearsals going well. Opening night is June 18th, then 19th, 20th 25th, 26th and 27th. Our writer and director Gordon McNish has unfortunately been involved in an accident and will not be able to carry on in his role as Director, that responsibility has now been passed on to me, giving me an interesting and  challenging ride, not to mention an immensely profound new respect for all directors. I am happy to note Gordon is well and on the road to recovery. Hope to see you all there on opening night.

The House Commercial

It never ceases to amaze me that although the film industry is small here in Perth I am continually meeting new and exiting people. I  was hired by one Callum Jonston for a small role in  the " House Commercial " I first met Callum at F.T.I. I had been asked by my one of my  favourite directors Wayne Nicholson to come down and work with some of the students at F.T.I. where I met Callum, I later worked with him at Aragon as a role player. In that time Callum started his own production company with other students and is now working in the industry and is one hell of a cook. His company produced the "House Commercial" Great crew.

Pocket Theatre

I always look forward to every season of Pocket Theatre and I have been asked again to participate in a one act play titled " Good Idea " Written by Gordon McNally. Gordon is a prolific writer who also run Pocket Theatre and this marks my third collaboration with Gordon in which he has me playing three characters in this original comedy. Season starts June 18th and ends June 28th. Hope to see you there.

The Door Post Film Project

Check out the last short film I worked on " Immobile " made for the American Film Festival, directed by Luke Hadley. Had fun making this one and working with great cast and crew. http://www.thedoorpost.com/joy/film/?film=96219af9759a7224701d6f01fec6addb  Have a look and if you like it you can vote for it and leave a comment. Enjoy

Two Fists One Heart

Attended the Cast and Crew screening of Two Fists and One Heart and totally enjoyed the film. I would urge everyone to support this well made local film which contains very good performances, most of which are Perth based actors. Very pleasing to see a project which took so long to complete finally come to life. Congratulations to Rai Fazio and all concerned

New York

Finally I am on my way to New York to participate in a two day course titled " Press Relations " not sure what to expect but I am prepared for the cold weather New York currently has on offer. I plan to return sometime next week where I am committed to working on a short film titled " Immobilized " directed by Luke Hadley. I have a small role in this film which is headed for a film festival in the States but it does afford me the pleasure of working with Luke again after approximately four years, the role Luke has cast me for is what he affectionately refers to as the " old man "

New York

I have finally reached the time to leave for New York where I will spend two days in a course titled " Press Relation " not sure whet to expect but I am prepared for the cold weather. I will return sometime the following week where I am committed to work on a short film directed by Luke Hadley.

Every Little Thing

Congratulation to Marcus Preece, cast and crew of Every Little Thing which has been nominated for four awards at the W.A. Screen Awards. I had the pleasure of working on this great little short with my good friend Mahesh Jadu and was in no doubt the highlight of 2008. Chookas to all on the night.

Prison Break

Have just completed what can only be described as an amazing journey with Prison Break Live at Adventure World. It has been a learning curve for me with the challenge of being ON the whole day.  Very good response from the public with positive feed back, on many occasions we saw the same people returning for more. I am mostly pleased to have worked with Sudden Impact Entertainment and value the friendship I established with all the talented cast members. I wish each of them the best as we all move on to other projects.  To management and cast, thanks heaps for the ride.

Prison Break

After two weeks of rehearsal and scare school we are finally ready for opening day which is this Saturday 27th of December. It promises to be a great show which will both entertain and scare. I am particularly impressed with the cast of 22 very talented individuals. I am enjoying this unique experience and hope the audiences will love the show.

Prison Break

Having heaps of fun rehearsing for the show "Prison Break" The cast of 22 are experienced individuals with some actors coming from Sydney. Show opens 28/12/2008 and promises to be an entertaining albeit "Scary" experience. Looking forward to performing for the first time live, with my good friend and talented actor Nina Deasley.

Documentary

Happy to announce I have been asked to appear in a documentary produced and directed by Lis Hoffman. The Doco is themed on issues regarding men. Very happy to be working with Lis  as I am particularly drawn to her writing style. The interview is scheduled for this Friday 12th December 2008 and should be a great way to end what has been for me a very busy and productive year.

Every Little Thing

I have very eagerly awaited the screening of this Short film I did with my very good friend Mahesh. Screening is at the Innaloo complex and commences at 7pm tomorrow, Wednesday 10th. " Every Little Thing " was directed by Marcus Preece who's future in the industry looks very promising, also worth noting is the performance of Wade Ranson and the vixen, the talented Megan Riley. The filming of this little short was definitely one of the highlights of 2008 for me.

Pocket Theatre

The season came to an end tonight in what was in my opinion the most talented line-up to date at the Pocket Theatre. All acts were well performed and equally well received by audiences.

One Man Show

Very pleased with the feed-back we are receiving for my one man show "Looking for Mariella Rossi" The audience is certainly getting value for money with all 4 performances of very high quality, not just the writing but also the acting. By far the best line-up I have seen at the Pocket Theatre. My performance has a duration of approximately 40 minutes and is proving to be my most challenging, emotionally draining and satisfying stage role to-date.

Prison Break

I am pleased to announce I have scored a role in the Production of Prison Break which will run daily at Adventure World during the Christmas holidays. This marks my first collaboration with "The Sudden Impact Entertainment Company" which operates in centres all over  the world and are leaders in this form of entertainment. Looking forward to working with top actors. First show commences on Boxing Day.

Pocket Theatre

Looking forward to opening night tonight for my one man show at the Pocket Theatre. A lot of work has gone into creating this very personal one man play which marks my first collaboration with writer Helen Brett. Tickets available at Bocs (9484 1133) or at the door. Hope to see you there

Blithe Spirit

The season has now ended with the last night proving to be the best, it had been a very enjoyable show to do and have made new friends in what proved to be a monumental amount of lines to learn. The Acorn is a very special Theatre which has won my heart, they need to be supported as they provide an amazing opportunity for actors and audiences to enjoy the wonderful world of Theatre

Approved Funding

Very happy to receive Funding for an action packed short film I will be producing next year. I am also delighted to be working in collaboration with Stuart Bender who will also direct. Negotiations are under way with the Police Academy as we seek their assistance in order to shoot what should prove to be a very exciting car chase.

Jerry Lewis

Anyone who has ever been on stage facing an audience would appreciate the talent and finesse of Jerry Lewis, a veteran of the entertainment industry with a wealth of knowledge and experience embraced in originality. I had the pleasure of a one on one meeting with the King of Comedy. To date, the highlight of my career.

Blithe Spirit

Performed our fourth  and in my opinion the best show for this wonderfully written play Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward. The play continues to be very well received by the audience with very good and positive feedback. As we approach our last week I am reminded of the talented cast I am lucky to share the stage with in what has been for me a monumental task to become involved with only five weeks to opening night. A personal "Thank you" to all the cast and crew for their support.

Lionel

Today we shot the very last scene for the Short "Lionel" Directed and written By Keir Wilkins for his Third and final year at University studying Filmmaking. I continue to be impressed with the standard from the Third Year Student, gone are the days when student films were a chore, today they are professional, focussed and dedicated. It is very promising to see such high standards. The film future here in Perth is promising.

Opening Night

Blithe Spirit We opened last night to a small but appreciative audience, all cast performed well and managed to settle quickly. Look forward to a bigger audience  and a  more polished performance tonight. Thanks heaps to all my beautiful friends and colleagues who sent messages of encouragement and good wishes prior to the show. The energy and light was very much appreciated.

24 HOUR THEATRE AND FILM PROJECTS

Participated in my first 24 Hour Theatre and Film Project and was absolutely amazed at the amount of talent we have here in Perth, so great to get the chance to work with great actors and directors. The show was performed to a sell out audience who clearly appreciated the talent on show.

All Star Cast

Just finished shooting on  what can only be described as the dream set, working with talented professional actors such as Ali Roberts, Louise Dodge, Robbie Vecchio and  Wade Ranson, add the great crew of Stuart Bender as D.O.P.  the veteran  Mark De Friest directing, Debbie Thoy wearing the producers cap and all the beautiful dialogue supplied courtesy of my favourite W.A. writer, Mr Richard Hyde. Most definitely an all star cast.

A Trip to Sydney

Very exciting to be making my first entry in this segment. The past twelve months have been very busy with lots of travelling. A trip to Sydney for the inaugural national auditions held by AIPA. Over 820 actors auditioned for international casting agents with Myself and the talented Milety Tunecliffe the only two W.A. actors to make it into the top 50 actors. As a direct result I have since made two trips to L.A. for auditions. On returning to Perth I did a little bit of work on the soon to be released Two fists One Heart. Along with numerous commercials of which my favourite is soon to be released, advertising Lotto, the three day shoot was held in Dunsborough. Presently I am preparing for the November season of Pocket Theatre where I will perform a one man show written and directed by Helen Bret. I am also preparing to shoot a short film titled Lionel and due to commence in September.
